300 foot in 3.8 sec?

Who thinks it's a possibility for a 720+cc DS motor with forced induction and/or nitro in a lightweight drag frame to run 3.8 seconds in 300 foot sand drags?

I think your going to have to get the turbo to respond a whole lot faster than I have seen them respond to get it done in 300'. Just my opioin though...which dont mean anything because Im nowhere near that....First thing you have to do is figure out how much horsepower to weight ratio you dealing with and then the overall setup (tires/gearing). In fact, dont be too surprised if you dont see some burst into the 3.99 arena as early as next year anyway.......withouth forced induction

It will happen!
Can you believe a single cylinder 4 stroke in the 3's. What is this world coming to?

From your post, it sounds like you think it might be possible. I'm not referring to my DS by the way, just talking concept.

Very possible. Going to take a superlight chassis and big power.

Are you hinting at something Scooby??

Did you figure out the clutch problem??

Yes, Yes, Yes! I know its possible. But, if "they" cant get the turbo to come on hard off the line...it will not happen with a turbo. Add a little NOS to get it going and then you might be working with something. Sandbombers bike has already ran some 4.2-4.3's already with a stock chassis. He would be there immediately with a drag chassis. Its not rocket science. But take a few cc's off of the motor and add a little more nitro/NOS and then yeah, I believe it is definitely possible

From what I saw, with Suspension, wheelie bar, a little diet, and tire selection your engine is capable of mid 4's or better just like it is (if the clutch will hold).

3.8 is gonna be reallllly tuff.

it will take Scooby's motor in a 225lbs chassis with a 120lbs jockey to do it. Or Big Bore with same chassis and a hella lot of NOS!!

Bigger.

if this 167HP 350cc banshee can run 3.6 sec (when it was in a stock frame) then I think it's possible for the DS to reach 3.8 sec.

I think it would take a cannon to get a ds to go that fast
