Rotax insiders said 52hp at the crank (that was in 2001). Our Land and Sea dyno measures 42-44hp on the old DS's, 44-46hp on the newer ones (out of the crate- no "help" from the new owners!).
Every dynojet I've ever been on reads the same as ours.

Never had a Predator on the dyno.

Just chipping in with us West Coast dynos....

three different DynoJet dynos all reading about 32 - 34 hp stock. Pipe and a cdi is getting to about 38.

Stage two was about 42 - 45 and

My 730 hit 57ish. I figure I'm about 68 out where you guys are at. Also, these numbers were confirmed on a mustang dyno at our Las Vegas Speedway.

Yea, don't worry about the number in comparison.... just use the same dyno to compare additions to the bike. You'll end up in the loony bin if you try to compare.

In fact i was thinking of taking my 134 HP bike back and knocking off a cool 160 run JUST FOR THE EGO. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I have my theories on some of those low reading dyno's that don't correspond with the rest of the world (I have a zero turn mower making that much power), but we've had several bikes on the tvi dyno, including a couple at dunefest when I was there last year, and it corresponds within a couple of horsepower with ours and the rest of the dyno jets we've been on at various national events. There is a fellow, seems like he had a spanish name, who really knows what he's doing running their dyno.

I personally think that the closer you get to sea level the lower the numbers. Could be wrong, and I have ABSOLUTELY NO data to support it but something is definitely up.

I know that the guy I got my Busa from dyno'd it in Kansas and got 176. I dyno'd it our here after no changes at all and it dyno'd at 156 in DynoJets own facility. I did sqeek more power out of it with a new chain and gear set. That's a whole nother story though.


Been on 4 different dynos here in Southern Nevada and they are all within a pony or two of each other.

I don't think anyone is trying to punch the numbers up, just think that enviromental conditions make a difference. Alt, Humidity, temp, etc. etc. all play a role in how the dyno measures. When you go out to trinity's dyno in CA, they read sick high, but there again they are very humid comparitively.

Interesting subject, But I have came to realize the more I dyno the more innacurate they are without the right tires etc...
When we plopped sandbombers bike on one of the lowest reading dynos around with minor adjustments it hit the high #s, I forget the #s but was very high for all motor on the lower reading dynos.

The 2005 Bombardier engine change back to 2 spark plugs probably reason for slightly higher hp in newer ones.
