Default Ok, fuel leaking, and I've been doing lots reading.....

Ok, I have fuel dripping out the bottom of my carb bowl(00 DS650), I thought this was the drain tube? But from what I've been reading, it seems to double as the overflow drain also? Is this correct? If so, I guess I have to pull the carb apart and check my needle and seat. I noticed today when I stood the quad on end in a wheelie gone bad, it stalled and had gas pouring out this "drain", and was hard to start after. Some clarification would be nice, I'm still waiting for my service manual to arrive. Thanks, in advance.

All right. . . think of a toilet. . . there is a float in the back that feeds water into the bowl. That valve has become stuck in the up position and the fuel (or water if you are thinking about the toilet still) is overflowing.

Pull the carb bowl off and there is a float in there that is connected to the feeder valve. Pull the valve out and using some brake cleaner and a q-tip clean it up and re-assemble. Test it by putting the carb in an upright position and pushing the float up. If the fuel stops flowing then you are good.
