Thanks for the help everybody. I plan on using the swingarm with a TVI built 720 for the sand dunes. Just a little something to help keep the front end down. Earlier this year I seen that American Star stopped making the swingarm for the DS. But I got back on their website yesterday and seen they started making them again. Both the ASR and the Ace are about the same price, so I guess it comes down to preference.

It was too short and it was really hard to adjust the chain.

I know Scatterbrain has been running an Ace for the last year, and it is holding up really well. I have personally seen the abuse he gives it. And we put one on my dads bike a few months ago. We put on a +5, and yep we noticed the raise in the rear, but that did not bother us at all. I think it helps in the way it looks

Yep! Majorecho is right! A +8 ace will raise the rear TOOO MUCH feels wierd !! Major and I have had to make lowering brackets .. But I also have had 2 +5 ace arms and they are fine with a little less preload in your spring.

Just my experience

I know several people who have tried to get ACE to change the shock mount tab position and ACE won't have any part of it. Hard heads I say.....hard heads. I have a +4 and it does sit higher and taking tention off the spring helped alot.
