Dangers of 14:1??

I'm working on a mild build for my DS. I hear great things about the 14:1 pistons out there. This isn't a question about which builders piston to go with, but more along the lines on reliability. A 14:1 or anything higher compression that stock has to have some negative effects on overall reliability. Is going to a 14:1 pushing the limit as some might say?...what are the important things to know about running such high compression and is it relatively safe and reliable?!?

The key is a matched combo not just picking the highest static compression possible. Cam timing plays a big part in the cylinder pressures you will have . I would at least talk with some of the builders in the community about the combo you want to run before you spend the money and end up with something less then you expected.

What octane does HPR G6 14:1 piston require? I think on HPR's site it states 116, but I've hear of other runningless, like 110. I'm at about 1000 feet.

It depends on the cams you run and what kind of cylinder pressure your building

Also be sure to go one step cooler (#9) on your plugs. I have a 14:1 HPR stock bore piston with head gasket that puts me at 13:1. 110 octane is so much easier to find and I want to be able to run it safely.
