MY 04 BAJA X WAS RUNNING GOOD BUT NOW WILL NOT IDLE AT ALL, WILL CRANK IF YOU HOLD THROTTLE ANY KEEP RUNNING . WILL NOT IDLE ON IT'S ON. THIS HAPPENED PRETTY MUCH ALL THE SUDDEN. I TOOK TO BOMB. DEALERSHIP FROM UNRELATED PROBLEM AND DIDN';T SEEM TO RUN WELL WHEN I PICKED IT UP.THEY SAID THEY TOUCHED NOTHING, I BELIEVE THEM. BROUGHT HOME PARKED IT, NOW DAYS LATER WENT TO RIDE, AND WOULD NOT CRANK, PULL PLUGS THEY ARE COMPLETELY FOULED. I PUT IN NEW PLUGS , NOW WILL RUN , BUT NOT IDLE. I HAVE ADJUSTED IDLE ON LEFT SIDE OF CARB , BUT HELPS NONE AT ALL. ALSO WILL NOT CRANK AND IDLE EVEN WITH CHOKE FULLY ON, CHOKE IS WORKING THOUGH, THE MOTOR SOUNDS ROUGH IF YOU CUT IT ON WHEN RUNNING. THANKS

 

What did you take it to the bomb dealer for originaly?
you said the plugs were fouled so:
Check the air intake system. Filter/ Snorkels/Carb venturi ect...
Have you looked at the new plugs since you put them in?
Are the wet? Dry? Oily?etc...
How long did it sit before you took it to the dealer? Varnish in a carb can play havoc.

 

Should be a ideler cable on that model?

 

Pop the top off the carb and make sure your needle is still seated properly. It can pop out really easy causing it to be super rich.
