ds running bad until 4500rpm
my baja ds runs terrible almost like it is loading up on fuel, no power even full throttle until it hits 4500rpm then it is like you hit a switch it comes alive and runs great. any ideas. i have already put a pro comm cdi and that did not cure. i have also tried resetting the float but no luck. it also does it bad on incline or riding wheelies it just loses all power, unless you can keep the rpm above 4500

I would think it has do do with jetting. Sounds like you are to lean or rich in the mid throttle range. I think I would adjust the needle and see whathappens.
As nut said it helps to know what you have done to the bike - mods/airbox/where you ride is also important.

well i have a pro comm cdi, polished intake, yoshi exhaust, k&n filter w/outerwear, and jet kit. my altitude is about 1000ft. you maybe on to something about the needle, i have not adjusted it since i polished the intake. thats what i will try next. i also think i maybe running kinda lean, because my plugs are a little more white then they should be.

A lean condition will definately cause it to be weak in the lower rpms....even at full throttle. The vacuum signature has to pick up a bit to pull more fuel through the jet.
Your needle will not help this if it does it at wide open throttle. You needle only effects low throttle levels.....at least that is how it works on the mechanical carbs that I use.
I would increase your main jet a couple of sizes. If it is a 160, go to a 165 and see if it gets better.
Is the bike really cold blooded? Will it start but then die almost immediately then clear up when you get it up to temp? I ask this because I want to make sure your pilot jet is sized appropriately as well.
If you run pump gas, plug color is an ok guage. If you are running race gas, color is almost irrelevant. Almost every race fuel burns a different color.

no i'm not running any race fuel i do run 93 octane. i dropped the needle today and seemed to do better no cutting out on long wheelies or on hills which is how it normally starts then seems to progress to through the rest of the ride.
yes the bike does run really cold, it has very little power until it heats up. i maybe running to small of a pilot jet.
