Default Rear sprocket change

What are the steps for replacing the rear sprocket on a DS 650? Does the stock chain, if still good, need to be removed? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

You should not have to remove the chain- just loosen it a bunch. Remove tire and wheel, remove hub on the same side, unbolt sprocket and remove.

If you are not capable to remove the sprocket hub because its stock, you can buff the six tabs of the interior of the sprocket or taking off the rear axle by the left side. Longer but easy to perform with proper tools and a six pack of beer.
