Default Ds running bad need ideas

Well...my ds seems to be running very rich ALL the time i can rejet and go from a 192 to a 180 and it makes almost 0 difference. After the ds warms up it runs fine for some reason but before its warm it sputters and backfires and everything....the exhaust tip is pure black....ive taken apart cleaned and did everything i could to the carb but it does nothing...what else could it be besides the carb????? Im pretty sure it isnt the carb because last year it ran perfect with these exact same settings and the same temperature outside...

Is it smoking at all? If a ring gets stuck and you are starting to get some oil up in the combustion chamber, that will make everything black (pipe, sparkplug, etc). Oil will also throw jetting reading off.

Check your air/fuel screw first though. Make sure it hasen't moved.

Hmmm......check both spark plugs for spark. If you have spark at both plugs, and they are really black and nasty, replace them both.

It is best to try all the easy things first. It is possible that you have weak spark from fouled plugs or only one plug is firing. This will simulate a rich condition by not being able to burn all the fuel.

Also, you did clean your pilot jet out, right? No goobers in there? lol

Cleaned out all the jets...havent pulled the plugs to even see what they look like yet...will do it tommorow. I know one of the spark plug caps is pretty much junk while the other is fine maybe thats causing a bit of trouble on its own.
