juat trying to get a a sence of what everyone is using on their ds650 for sand tires...im running itp's sand stars front and back...good tire lots of traction...front doesnt float over sand perfect can dig in in the lose stuff....what does everyone else have

I loved the 22" haulers they really help the big bikes git up and move and they are really light.

Same 22" Haulers. I have lightened hubs with Honda bolt pattern and run 8" wheels and they float over the sand like a dream.

22" minimum the 20" dig in to much and you'll spend to much time getting your quad unstuck.

I agree Sandman, I have the 20" extremes and they're just not enough for the big machine. I just bought some shaved/lightened hubs with Yami pattern and put new Sand Hauler 21x12x8's on 8x8 rims. They already look better on the DS than my 20's did. We'll wait and see how they perform. My buddy that has the Sand Haulers said they hook up well and perform very much like a Hauler. Almost the same tire at 1/2 the price(I paid $142.00 inc. Tax with douglas rims) Not a bad price at all.

Lookin for sandtires myself. so i want at least 22's maybe 21's, and whats the best rim size to use? i still have stock rims but would buy another set just for the sand.

Unless you shave down your hubs you can only go down to a 9" wheel, the Bomb bolt pattern is larger than everything else.

Ok, so...will yamaha hubs mount right onto the stock ds axel??

The yamaha hubs will not mount to the DS axle you have to get the DS hubs converted to yamaha pattern from a machine shop or you might find some in the what's in your garage forum.
