Default Best 2UP wheeler for The $ Can-am or Arctic Cat

Here is the deal I am going to buy a 2 up wheeler and I have found 3 that are within $100 of each other what model do you think is best for the money?

Can am Max 400 with XT package (winch, wheels, tires bumpers, hand guards)
Can am Max 500 EFI non XT no winch
Arctic cat TRV 650H1 with a 3k warn winch

Which one would you buy? Thanks Rapidrobert137

How important is the winch? If it's important, then toss out the Can-Am 500 and go withthe AC 650.

If all these had the same options, I would rank them as Outlander 500 #1, AC650 #2 and Outlander 400 #3. The 500 Outlander will equal or exceed the performance of the AC but if it's down on equipment that you'll want to purchase anyway, then it's not as good of a deal. While the Outy 400 max is a very powerful 400, you will be down on power compared to the AC, more so when hauling two people.

Are these three bikes all new? Assuming that all are the same year I'd go with the AC 650.

Yes: they are all new 07 left over ATVs and I would be buying a winch for the 500.
The warranty on the can-am is 3 year and the cat 2 year. I do like all the toys on the 400 but I do feel that it will lack throttle response and power compared to the others. Rapidrobert137

I really like my AC 650H-1. Plenty of power. Handles mud and hills great.
Lots of low end power and I dont have to run it wide open just to get through stuff.

I was in your same situation last fall with the Can Am 650 and the AC 650H-1. I ride a 2003 AC and love it, but the Can Am had two inches more ground clearance and a rear rack that would hold a rack bag with a passenger on board. If the AC had a rear rack for cargo with a rider on and the same ground clearance I would have bought it in a heartbeat, but I ended up going with the Can Am and am very happy with it.

I too was looking at the 650's in the 2up models. Decided on the AC 700 EFI Plus because it came with a winch and other items. When I priced the AC 650 with everything the AC 700 had, it was cheaper to get the 700, plus got EFI. I like the Can-Am but the final deciding factor was the Dealer. I like the Dealer that sells the AC and feel comfortable dealing with him. Both bikes are good, just need to figure out which one would be best for you.

Uncle were did you get the box on the back of the trv, That box looks sweet.
I am going with the 07 cat trv 650h1 with a warn 3k winch. I have a great dealer and he will give me a great deal on accessories and has always taken care of me on my snowmobiles and I know he will on the 4 wheeler, that played a big part in my decision making. Thanks for all the info...rapidrobert137

Got the box from AC Dealer. It is a Kimpex box and also need the rack accessory. It is box made for 2up's. The rack replaces the AC handgrips on the back seat. Then the box bolts to the rack. The back seat, box and rack all come off with the pulling of the two pins from the back seat. Kimpex catalog said that would fit 2006-2007 but it also fits the 2008 TRV's. I purchased the TRV softside bag from AC but did not like as much. When I went to the Dealer to order, he had already purchased and had in stock. You can get a lot of stuff in the back box. I used to carry a front box, but maybe will not need now except when on longer trips.

You will love the length of the TRV when going up hills. Only thing that I am looking to replace are the tires.
