i've always been a fan of the hole shots but lately all this talk about razr's has got me wondering.Who likes what and why?thanx

hey killerb, I have never had Razors but I do have a set of holeshots on the back of my 330. Ever since I put the big bore kit in, it was hard to keep from braking traction when I hit the gas. I decided to listen to my friend that suggested to put some holeshots on the back. Now I know why they are called hole shots. I have less wheel spin and better traction on a take off and you can still power slide it real easy. Though they are they same as the kenda dominators in snow and thick mud.(THEY SUCK) I've used those hole shots in races from arenacross to the desert race to the local track which a bit of rock mixed in. Hope this helps you.

If you need more ground clerance go with the 22" rear and get 23" fronts

I had 20" 4-ply razrs and they wore out just as fast if not faster than the kenda dominators and seemed a little heavier than the dominators. The razrs may have had a little better traction than the dominators, when the razrs were new, but that didn't last long.

I have 22" Holeshot XCTs on my LT250R and it pulls them rather well. (The XCTs are 6-ply rubber.) From what I can tell, the DS havimg much more grunt than my slightly modified LT250R, you may be well advised to go with 22" rears and possibly 23" fronts (assuming the rears will fit properly without scraping.) My XCTs are holding up rather well on my 250, though I don't know anyone that has Razrs to compare to.

When I get my DS650, I'll put some 22" XCTs on it, and some 23" XCs (the larger front tires are supposed to help with the quick steering of the DS) on the front. The next time I buy tires for my 250, while it does pull the 22" tires just fine, I'm going with 20s.

My three and a half cents.
