looking to spend about 1300 on upgrades is it worth it?
im thinking about doing some upgrades to my bike(06ds650x). its fairly stock: k&n, 15t sprocket, and fan shrouds.
these are the parts im leaning towards:
big gun cdi 140
mikunitm45 400
ron woods intake 170
ron woods full exhaust 488(not the drag)
the only thing that really worries me is the carb because ive never played around with one, everything else is pretty much plug and play after the jetting/tunning.
i mostly ride trail and sometimes dune

There is a TM45 on ebay right now (brand new) for $299 BuyItNow. They pop up all the time new for the same price. I'd save $100 and get one of them.
We'll be glad to help you out with the set up. Very easy and well worth the money. Make sure to get the intake from RWR or elsewhere to match the carb.

i was also wondering how much power i could expect to gain with this setup.
one of the reasons for doing this is because i rode a friends 05? honda trx 450, all it has is a pipe and jet and it flew. i know its light and they have decent engines but i bought the 650 for a reason,(actualy 2 one is because i dont like motercycle seats lol)
