Default Heel Guards for DS650 WITH IMS/Roll Design Footpegs

Is there anything out there? Looks like you have to do some major modifications to make the stock foot guards fit. I was considering purchasing the IMS Heel Guards for a Raptor 700 and try to make them fit, but it's a gamble. Anyone with success?

Your best bet is to find a pair of the IMS guards and take them to your local fab shop along with your pegs, maybe your bike, and have them fabbed up right. No two pair of the IMS guards are the same as far as fit goes. Lots of twisting and bending to get them on, and then once they are on there and you apply some pressure and vibration to them, well, you know the rest of the story...

I bought some Tusk aluminum heel guards for a Z400 to try and retrofit to my DS. They seemed to be a lot easier to retrofit than the Raptor ones. So in a nutshell I would recommend Z400 heel guards over the Raptors.

Silverbomb,

How much retrofitting did you have to do? I am trying my darnest to finish this project this month.

I actually didn't end up putting them on. I returned them to get something else I needed from RMATV. But you need to chop and weld the top piece of the heel guard to fit on the DS so if you have access to a Tig welder for aluminum, it wouldn't be bad at all.

I have access to a welder. I will place an order next week and post pics of the final output.

Thanks for the tip.
