520 chain kit on ds
Is there a noticeable difference in top end speed when using the 520 chain kit on a ds? will it handle the torque and weight of the ds?

I'd say your more noticable gains will be on launch rather than top speed. It may get you to top speed sooner as the rotating mass will be less. Quite a bit of weight difference between the 520 and the 530.
Not many issues as far as durability, as with anything else, you get what you pay for. They handle the torque and weight just fine. |
I'd say it doesn't make a huge difference. It didn't on mine anyway but that's JMO. But Mine has held up just fine under the weight and power of the DS.

It was hard for me to tell because i put cams in the same time i put my 520 chain on but i think it helps. It def handles the wieght and power fine, the only thing that sucks is getting sprockets. I'm in canada and have to order them from california, with shipping they get pricy.

My old 120 hp 1100cc 1982 Kawasaki GPZ had a 520 chain, I sure hope it will handle the power of a DS also.

I live in canada also so which company sells the 520 chain kit? do you gain much from cams? hotcams dont list any for the ds. who sells them?

I also live in canada, i bought a chain locally and ordered sprockets from Ron Woods Racing. As for cams theres nothing from hotcams but there is OMW racing, Ron woods, WEB cams and Pami cams that i know of. Probably others too.
