Ds 650 intake setups

Hey guys I am looking for a nice intake/air box setup for my Ds 650. I am looking at putting on an aluminum Um air box with a 250 K&N filter. I also saw on Ron woods racing website that he makes an intake for the Ds 650. Which I am assuming lets you remove the rubber OEM intakes that run from the carb correct? Does anybody have any experience with any of these two products, and if the Ron woods intake would work with the Um air box? Thanks for the help, I will provide links to pictures on bottom.

What year is your DS, I think most will agree that the late model stock tube is the best for all around performance.

Are you running a stock carb? The stock airbox is actually very good, search for carb mods, its a great thread.

Thanks for the help. My DS is an 03. All stock expect for slip on, K&N filter, and few cosmetics. In time (money provided) I am looking into a Ron woods stage 2 or 3 kit, or a big bore from another company.

I'm not sure the year the stock tube was upgraded, but the older style will collapse. Some people put hose clamps on the tubes between the ribs, but I just bought a new style for around $35 from Bike Bandit.

If you're riding mostly in the dunes/desert you can just take the air box off and run with out one all together. You'll have much better volume of air, therefore more power. Just run the stock intake tube with your K&N with an outerware and you're set.

Just make sure you do the OMR carb mods before removing the air box if you are using the stock carb.

True, but only after you've done the OMR stock carb mods...
The best power money can buy!
