2009 Canam Outlander 800r efi// In the mud
I was looking to buy a 4 wheeler that is the quickest and baddest in the mud and all terrain. I recently owned a 650 and 750 brute force and had alot of problems out of them... Also been looking at the new Arctic Cat thundercat 1000 mudpro edition.... Just wanted someones opinion whether to get the cat or the canam?

cat or can am
Go for the can am. I own an 08 650 max xt and its awesome ! After 800 miles and a fun filled year of mud filled trails, it has been trouble free. Its 5 mph slower than the 800 and over a grand cheaper too. The 800r is a wild machine , with tonnes of power to turn big meats.
Ps. I've had it buried up to the racks in mud without any worries.

I vote Can Am
I've been researching a lot lately and have fallen on the Outlander series for my next ATV first big bore. The Brutes worry me too. The outlander needs either (or both) Richochets and a fairly cheap frame mod (three welded 1 1/4" tubes inserted in the center frame) and your good to go.

it is faster than the carb one , and equal to the efi on the new models. i raced each of them in a open field and was dead even with the efi brute but the carbed brute with a hmf exhaust, k and n air filter , and jet kit, was a length behind the whole time, and when we hit 60, continued to fall behind more. the efi one had me off the line by a quarter length but i pulled in front by the same after 60, we raced a couple times. always the same result. and my otty is stock and the 2 seat max version
