Default '07 DS 650 Valve Spacer Question

I'm helping a friend with his DS starting problem. It won'y start when cold, give her a pull and it starts right up.
After checking valve clearences we found that the intake valve whad NO clearence at TDC. That makes me wonder if the seats or valve grind has damage, but we thought we would try spacers that were about .004 inch thinner. We looked up the OEM parts list on babbits online and they show multiple (8 I think) different sizes. But the sizing format they use I don't understand. The describe them as 2,1" or 2,2" up to 2,9" then to 2,15" or 2,25" or 2,35" and so on. Can anyone tell me what these values represent?
I need something like .086 and .088 to get me .004" less than current.

Can somone steer me right? Thanks in advance,

Bryan

Oops, double oops.

I have now had committed two cardnal sins.

1) Post in the correct forum.
2) Reseach a little before asking questions or you may come accrost as....well, less than equal.

I have answered my owm question by seeking and finding a great valve adjustment how to string.
Turns out the mesurement are in mm. So now the 2,1 make sense, it's the " character that threw a curve ball that had me striking!!

Thanks for putting up with me.

Are you sure you were at TDC? Were the cam lobes facing away from eachother? What were the gaps on the exhaust if there was zero gap on the intake side?
You used commas (,) in your first question, probably threw some folks off. You are correct however that the measurements are in mm's, ie, 2.25, 2.60, etc. Search the forum for the valve shim calculator. We've all used it many times and it can save alot of time and headaches!

I correctly used commas on my first post, as that is what was on their site.
Yes, we were at TDC. The exhaust valve lash was at .006. But yes their was no lash in the intake side. Like I said, it makes me wonder if the seat and valve itself is ok.
