DS won't start!!!WTF!!!!
 

Quick question guys,04 baja,just did the crank bearings and rings,ran slightly rough for a while,adjusted valves,now it won't start!!!
Got spark,got fuel,timing is right on!!!cranks but wil not fire!!:eek:

Any leads??? all help is greatly apreciated!!!!!!:confused:
By the way!! first rotax ds 650 repair!!:D

Spray some starting fluid in it, see if it will fire if it does time to clean the carb real well, if not you have a timing issue

are you sure you got the cams lined up right? if it ran before the valve job you might be off a tooth . did you lock it at tdc when you set it?

I took it apart again,transfer the parts and cams from my other motor,I figured is the valves not adjusted properly,but still won't run,the cams are lined up,crank is at tdc,both facing outward,cranks and no start,it will throw a crazy misfire once in a while,got spark and fuel!!!:confused::confused:

Cotter pin at crank for magneto was sheared off!
put a new one,still does a misfire when cranking but nothing!
cams are line up,tdc ok,is there a mark on the magneto???

It seems out of timing but the marks are all there!!!:confused::confused::confused:

The cam decompressor broke,small piece at l/s crank bearing,locked the engine,was running b4 all this happened!

Valves?
 

Hey, Mine was doing the exact same thing but it got progressivly worse untill the point where i had to pullstart it or spray gas in the carb to start it, it was the valves out of adjustment i had them adjusted to proper spec and it fired and has ran perfect since until today when it started spraying oil out the vent tube but anyway make sure the valves are properly adjusted.
