DS650 Paddle question

I need help choosing a paddle tire for my DS650.

The quad has been modified. It has aftermarket fuel injection with a turbo. It has been dyno'ed at 85 RWHP with 54 FTlbs of torque.

The problem: I used to weight almost 400lbs in riding gear. (hence getting the EFI turbo system to make it have 'stock' power) I since lost 200lbs and now the current paddles, 22" ITP Sand Stars, spin in a soft slip face like the clutch gave out.

I'm thinking of Skat Trak Edge 8, 9, or 10 paddle 22", 23", or 24" size. I actually dune and do not hill race or go to the drags, so I need to keep my maneuverability.

Any thoughts?

Eat More! Seriously, congrats on the weight loss. I have the 22" sand stars and I am around 230. I have a omw 730 and cams and at 4000 rpm you can't stop the spinning. I know the answer is buy some better tires but mine are still fairly new and I'm going to wear them out first. I went to a 13 tooth sprocket in front and am going to change back to 15 until I get some new tires. Hopefully that will slow down the spinning some, but it sure is fun to have that kind of power.

I went up 1 tooth on the front sprocket since I have the extra power.

I dune with 22in 9 paddle extreme's on both my bikes, Just gears and bolt-ons. And the set on my 02 are going on 10 years old with still alot of cup left. IMO DS's dune much better with a straight blade paddle, seems the others just spin and dig holes =[ (personal experience with Sand Stars and Gecko's, from the weight of the bike possibly?) With your numbers I would just get 10 or maybe even 11 paddle 22in extremes.

22" 10-11 paddle extreme haulers. For the ultimate get your hubs drilled for Yamaha pattern and go with their SLS (triple buffs) on 8" rim. THe difference in weight and rotating mass is significant.

8 paddles are what most guys are running on stock/bolt-on DSs. He's running a turbo... WHy have all that power if your just going to be spinning the tires. 10-paddles are not going to affect top end with a turbo.
