slipping clutch on DS ?
#1
Guys,
Lately it seems like my DS doesn't accelerate as quickly as it did. At first I thought maybe it was just the hot weather. But today it seemed worse. I couldn't decide if it was the dry grass (Hot here lately)or the clutch slipping. But it feels like the clutch. I have it adjusted right. Should I try changing the oil? Though my oil isn't old either... Any other ideas?
thanks,

Did you take it on the road? See if it feels like its slipping then. I thought my clutch was slipping after installing my new pipe kit. But i was just spinning the wheels like a ****. I looked in yard where i had been riding, and saw patches of grass just torn all to hell. Once i got it onto the street, it was for sure, the clutch was not slipping, the front end kept flipping right up on me. Make sure your tires are getting traction. Its been warm and dry here also, grass will come right up, not giving u traction like before.

Yeah I ran it down the road once. Seemed Ok, but not as fast as usual, but it's been real hot lately.
Speaking dry grass being easy to spin on. I ride right along a creek. When the grass is dry & the rear end hangs out it makes it exciting riding right beside a creek. The DS is stable no doubt, but it feels like a 180 is going to happen
