I Just Rode The DS650!
#1
I just got back from the dealership, and I rode the DS. Here is what I think. First off, I am in Indiana and it is about 28 degrees, the DS had been sitting outside all day and it started right up, The 400ex sitting next to it would not start. I love the size of the machine, I am 6'4" and 260. I felt right at home on it, I throw my Lt250R around like a toy. The suspension is amazing, the shocks look twice as long as my Lt's. I took it down the road a few times, the low end needs work, but I think Duncan's new pipe will fix that. The middle of powerband was awesome, and the top end was great too. The thing turns so sharp it kind of scared me at first, because my LT turns poorly unless you power-slide it. I only got to ride it on the road because the dealership does not have a track. My friends dad just bought one so I am planning on riding it on his track and see how it flies. I do not know why he bought one, he has been riding a 6x6 polaris and he has never raced in his life. I guess he can say that he was the first one in this area to own one. I was impressed with it's power, but it was not as fun as my LT to ride, if you hammer the gas on my LT it almost throws you off, and the DS didn't do that. But my LT is getting old and I think I need a new toy. I really hate to get rid of my baby, but I have somebody going to buy my LT, now all I need is to get a loan from my dad. I am a little short of cash, as I am paying for college.
