Hello all,

A friend of mine just yesterday traded a 1987 mazda pickup for a 2000 Ds650 and a polaris trail boss!geez the truck wasn't even 4wd!

The original owner rode it 3 times.Crashed the last time and decided that quads wern't his thing. So he got rid of his Ds and her polaris.

Wow!that thing is fast! I rode it about 1/2 mile and decided to get off of it before I hurt myself. The polaris is for sale.Cheap! It's too gutless even for his wife.

We are wondering what goes bad on the Ds650,what we need to watch out for.We aren't famillar with the bike at all.

Thanks for the info,I'll pass it on.His has aftermarket A-arms on it too.The top arm is adjustable for camber/caster.It has an aftermarket exhaust made by "Gradon" I believe.A lot of the bike has been chromed or is polished aluminum, gas cap, brake fluid reservoirs the skid plates are chromed, steering stem is chromed, has real heavy duty handlebars too.

The front brakes don't feel right. We bled them, then gravity bled them. They stop but the lever is almost touching the grip.Is this normal?Should we keep bleeding them? thx, Chris
