Since the 400EX is the reigning king of Baja, I am wondering if any DS's will be run this year? I think that the 650 would be far superior to the EX in Baja. I feel that the DS would be more stable, less tiring, and overall quicker than the 400. The DS's wider stance and overall larger size would be easier to handle, and therefore faster through the desert. Your opinions???

Sounds about right to me. In a race where the riding is wide open, requiring alot of hits to the suspension at high speed, sounds EXACTLY like what the DS is designed for. The Baja, and who knows..... maybe Pikes Peak?

 

Although the DS sounds like a great Baja quad, I believe the displacement limit on Pikes Peak is 500cc. They might make an exception for four-strokes because almost all the quads running on the Peak now are big-bore Banshees or the occasional Quadzilla.
