Well I put my new head on last night & she fired right-up without the choke (around 30-degrees) & it runs just fine except for a little puff of Blackish Grey smoke coming out of my exhaust when I first start it. Now I wanna get it jetted right.

How would I go about checking my jetting without reading the sparkplug?

Should I just ride it at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, & WOT or let it sit in Neutral and check it? What symptoms should I look for & what should be done to compensate for them.
