104 lbs? Damn thats quite a bit. And stock motor. Hmm maybe he spent all his money on Carbon Fiber and Titanium? I still doubt that you could shave 104lbs off a DS especially with what you say that he did. Maybe he went on a a diet and hes including that in the 104?

Ohh BTW Timmie Boy a arms are the only ones recommended. Trust me I called nearly evey manufacture in the back of DW and they all said stay with stock or go TB, but dont waste your money on American Star. TB's are pricey but worth it.

i wonder how the new Armadillo a-arms are, they sell them at Rocky Mt., chromoloy, I don't know anybody who has tried them, Armadillo has been around for quite a few years, but just got into a-arms. I know their skids are super strong - the only ones out there to use 1/4" thick extruded aluminum angle welded to a plate rather than bending 90 degree angles like all the others.
they are even available in +2 for the DS, although nobody makes a +4 axle I'm aware of.

It sounded hard to believe to me too! There were two of us on our DS's when he said that, we both almost fell off our bikes.

I'm not one to argue with the guy, but he said he weighed it befor and after. He also claimed the CG changed from front to rear heavy. With all the different weight specifications on the DS, he was the only one that said he did a weigh befor and after.

If you see a Yellow DS with a odd color blue frame, that would be him.

you shure he wasn't canadian and talking in kilo's. If he was, that comes out to about 47 lbs. But then again that would make him weigh about 65 lbs....

I'm not sure I believe what he said either, but that was one fast DS!!! He either B.S.'d on the wieght thing or he had a very large well built engine. He stood the front end up going up and down Olds hill. He was able to pull the front up in fourth up Old's and gain spped. Any way, it was impressive.

Azsand, thanks for the offer to ride with you'all. I try to keep an eye on the forums to see who's going where and when. I just started a new job in Jan-03 so I don't have any time off for a while. But if I see you'all going somewhere I will try to make it out.

I would like one more Glamis trip between now and Memorial weekend. Where do you camp at Glamis?

Later....
