3 mini's on my dash

Last night I installed 3 mini guages (volt, temp and oil) on my dash in the RPM spot. They are white face with a red, blue or green back light.

Too cool ! Not only does it look sweet, but fuctional. With all of the old topics I figured out how to use a t-connector to keep the oil idiot light.

The oil and the volt was a breaze ... working on temp.

Pic's will have to wait.

I have too much on my plate right now ... new clutch,f-sprocket, oil,anti-freeze, solve hesitation problem , and carb work.

Oh and load the software for the digital camera on my laptop.

I promise that when I get finished I will post pics.

What do you hook the gauges in to? What is the cost of the oil pressure sender, and where does the temp sender mount?
Thanks

I do not have a tach so ... the kit comes with 3 guages in a bracket. I removed them so that it would look cleaner on the dash.

I bought a drill piece ($5) 1&1/2" from Home Depot and drilled 3 holes in the area of where the tach would go.

The entire kit was $29 with all parts except the 2 "T"s required for the oil and water. The one for the oil is brass and cost $2 and the one for the water is some kind of composite $2.

You remove your oil sensor mount the "t" ...screw one end into the case , your sensor in one end and the oil line in the other.

The same for the water temp except you just hook up the hoses. The sensor rides inside indirect end.

As for the volt meter you can hook it up to any hot wire.

I don't have patients for fabricating and this required almost none at all. Just like putting a puzzle together.

I will have to say the guages look best glowing red. The blue and green are to soft.

Be careful with those cheap gauges!

I had an oil pressure gauge blow up on me while I was riding once and it ended up all over me.

I'm going to spend the extra money and buy a better quality unit soon.

Hey Jiminok, got those part #'s?
