Can't get 22" haulers 9 paddles
#1
Been looking for 22/11/10 9paddle and they are not very easy to get. I checked with Rocky Mtn. and they have the 8paddle version in stock and they are out of the 10. They do not even carry the 9, nor can I order them. My local shop in town (where I can get a discount) told me my price was:
$128 per tire (extremes) and $54 per wheel (douglas .125's)
Total of $364 + tax.
Rocky wants $236 to my door for the entire order. Although that price is for the Regular Haulers not the extreems. They don't even offer a 22" extreme.
Any CHEAP suggestions?

I was having a problem finding the same tire. I decided to go with the 8 paddles from RMatv. That is a pretty good price for tires and wheels. You can get the 9 paddles extremes for about 270 but it'll take several weeks. I figure if the 8 paddles is not enough I'll steal my wifes 9 paddles and give her the 8's.
From what I've seen you don't even have a stage 1 yet. I think the 8's would be perfect for you. I'm putting them on a stage 3, I figure wheel spin can't hurt.

I've got almost all of the stage 1 now. Just need the carb and intake. I think that a little extra sand pump with the 8's might be good a thing. RMATV doesn't offer the extremes in a 22inch. Just called earlier today.
Are 8's a bad thing (eight paddle)????
Hope not, that looks like the way that I'll go.
Sandman, I agree about the .125's. I'm actually going to get the .125's and when they get here, swap wheels and tires with my wife. She'll get the sand sharks on the new .125's and I'll put the haulers on my .160's.
Sounds reasonable........

are the polaris and ds the same bolt pattern? let me know how the 160 work i run the 190 and have been wondering about the 160? i know the ds is 143mm and thought the polaris was like 156mm and some are smaller like 101.

The 160s should be a minimum on the DS or any heavy quad, and that is for sand use. I've run 160s with my paddles and only put one dent in the rim and was able to pound it out.
I tagged a polaris 400 4by4 that had 125s on with my 190 front and his wheel folded like a beer can.

well that answers that on the 160 i was thinking it would help on rotating mass, but hey i would be upset to lose a ride days over a weak rim. i guess if all i did was drag race they would work but we hit the whoops and sometimes hard.
