Default Wiring up some Baja aux lights?

I just picked up a set of Baja aux lights(fog lights) for a buddy of mine with a 2001 DS and want to know the best way to hook them up? There is a fuse box on one side and what looks like a flasher unit on the other, not sure what these are for. I am very limited when it comes to wiring so any help would be great.

It has been a while since I did mine.

Watch the instructions (did you get any?) The ones I got from Bomb were incorrect in how they say to mount up (rivet) the shrouds.

I have some pictures I took during the installation (send me an e-mail and I can send them to you.)

Hey, found the link Pictures taken during installation

The pictures I would have e-mailed are posted above. Let me know if you need any other help.

The thing that looks like a flasher unit is a relay (alot like your sprinkler solenoid for your lawn.) It is rivited to the shroud.

Personally, I'd wire them directly to the battery with an inline fuse & toggle switch. That way you can turn them on or off when you want to.

I did not get any instructions. I got them used on Ebay. Am I going to need that wiring harness or can I wire them up?

Jamac:

Take Sandman up on the offer, just take a close look at the aluminum bracket/shroud mounting instructions. You should be able to look at your Baja and figure it out real quickly.

I have them mounted, I just am unsure on the wiring part. I think I am going to call bombardier and see if they sell that wiring harness. Thanks for the info guys, I'll keep you updated.

it's no biggie if you can't get the wiring harnes, it's easy to set up. I drew a schematic just now and took a digital photo of it, but I don't have an easy to upload it to my web space here from work. pm me and I can email it to you.
