YAMOTO 70CC
Hey guys long time no hear! My son just loves the Yamoto! He loves the look and esp. the headlights, for some reason he turns them on all the time. I have experienced only one problem so far. The engine dies when the spark plug or the boot gets wet. Is this normal? This normally is not a problem but when he goes through mud puddles and such it turns into a hassle. The plug is mounted very low on the engine as everyone knows. I replaced the plug with a NGK plug, it made a difference in performance, but still does the same thing. A friend of mine said the plug wire may not be insulated enough. Any suggestions? Thanks!

have you checked to make sure the plug wire hasnt come off the hook and got burned they do that often
if not it is easy to switch plug boot covers you can get them at any auto parts store just remember it is the type without the scew on cap on the plug cant remember how it is conneted to the coil if it plugs in you can use almost any plug wire from a atv or car

I am still working out a couple things with the 88cc . it is installed and running but I have not got the right carb set up so it almost feels like when I first got it, spudering at high rev. it does feel more powerful but hard to tell with this sad excuse for a clutch. I will besure to share all when I have this pefected.

The Yamoto 70 ATV is a fully automatic unit. There is only a shifter to put the bike in natural, this makes it easier to push around when the bike is not started. Once you put it into the forward gear there is no more shifting to do. One gear for forward and one gear for natural.

I realize this is a way old post, but I'll give it a shot. Anyone still have their Yamoto 70cc? I'm curious how the bore kit worked out. Right now I'm having a big problem getting it to start up when cold. Once warm, I can barely tap the start button and it will fire right up. Anyone have a write up with images and specs for adjusting the valves on these?
Thanks!
Thanks!
