when looking for a china quad what motors are good and what are bad????

 

here is what i think since nobody else responded...the gy6 motor is the best with the most performance parts available then the motor jetmoto uses are solid also....problem with all of them is the cheap parts they put on them...carbs,plug,wiring,ect.

my kids redcat 150 gy6 has been taking a beating without a problem this winter so the gy6 is getting my vote.

hows that falcon doing?hows that race motor lt80 ?bet ya cant wait till spring huh!

falcon doing awsome. right untill the wife got pulled over lastweek for riding on the road. lmao wish I could find another one. quad not wife. racing lt80 is installed but with the 16" of snow last week and -0 cold havent had a chance to ride.

 

glad that thing is working out for you, if i come across one somewhere i will let you know. i checked out your pics. pics of your son look cool looks like he likes sitting on the falcon now.

 

ya shawn is lovin it. after riding it I want one. still running the stock carb but have a new one sitting on the bench. if you pull hard on the bars you can ride alittle wheele. if anyone out here sees one around please le me know

 

I am not sure who makes the engines for Jetmoto but all of them are reliable, even the 2 cyl 250 they dont use anymore. My minu utility has a loncin 90cc 4 stroke and besides being jetted lean it fires up and runs well. Engines overall seem to be the least of the problems with Chinese quads. What were you looking for onebigzj?

 

Im really intrested in finding one just like the falcon 250. 250cc fully auto and water cooled. but can only find a 150 fully auto and aircooled. might just have to go big name but dont want to spend that much.

I didnt even know there was a 250 auto, let alone with watercooling. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img] From what I have read in my google search they are sold out.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

It didnt say if they were getting more but a few other sites claimed to have 250 Falcons in stock.

 

every person I found said they were out.

 

goscoot claims to have 330 of them in stock.
