Oil Capacity

:huh:I was just wondering how much oil a Cool Sports 200cc ATV holds. I'm looking to change it and want to know how much oil to get and what would be the best kind to put in it. Thank you.

About 28-30 ozs...unless it has a oil cooler...then Id add 36-38 ozs..

I use Valvoline 10wt-40 in all my Chinese and Honda air cooled 4 strokes..

OK thank you. Just regular 10w40 oil?

Thats what I use and have been using for years...Lots of talk about slipping clutches and not enough protection....I figure since its been working in my mini trail for 40 yrs and its all original inside its good enough for my Chinese stuff too. I dont think small 4 strokes put enough stress on the clutch and other items inside the engine to justify the higher priced oils..

Oh no! I've been wasting my money on those special wet clutch oils, at least not buying the expensive stuff but still a lot more than regular 10-40 on sale at Kragen.

Is that really true, you run regular auto oil in the quad engines or was that a joke I missed?

Hi windtrader :) Been using Valvoline 10wt 40 in all of my Chinese and Air Cooled Thumpers with no problems...even use it in my XL600...Hondas for decades...Chinese stuff for a few years. The 150's for sure arent a problem, since it has no wet clutch.

KTM gets Amsoil 10wt-40 Motorcycle Oil.

Oh so the good stuff goes into the KTM and the Chinese engines get slag. :-)

It didn't register that the 150 could run regular motor oil. I never did change the oil in the trans, hope it is ok but not heard many having any problems.

LOL..The air cooled Hondas get it too!! I dont believe that a air cooled thumper makes enough power and or puts enough stress on its internal parts(clutch etc...) My KTM on the other hand is a bit high strung...

Ive changed the oil in the CVT on both of my 150's...I used 90wt..
