Default Starter issue

So I think I posted my first post in the wrong area so I'm throwing one up here to. Bought a second hand z stat 110cc Chinese atv. Guy said it had a bad starter.

Got it home put a battery on it and starter just starts cranking over. Ordered a new starter relay put it in, same problem. Tested the two small wires coming off the back of it and it is always getting power. What is my Problem?
Thanks for any help

If the starter works, just spins, possible a one way starter clutch is bad, that is if it has one like some shown on ebay.https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...lutch&_sacat=0

I think he means the starter runs as soon as battery is connected.

One of the thin wires to solenoid should only have power when start button is pressed. Some have the button on the negative wire, some on positive. The button could be stuck down, or two wires in the circuit shorted together, on the negative button type, if the wire has shorted to earth you will also get this.
