Atv won't move no faster than 5mph
 

I just brought a 175cc coolster atv. I was having trouble getting it in F position. After messing with the shifter numerous times i forced it into F position, now it moves smoothly with the indicator light telling me what positions I'm in. Now the damn thing wont move less than 5mph. Called a few people that told me it was the clutch. I ran this thing about 20mins on the trail with no issues until I had to move the shifter in reverse & bck into F. So to say its the clutch, that doesn't add up...if anyone have any knowledge please share with me.
