wont Start
Tao Tao boulder 110
left gas in it all winter I could get it to start but it would shut off everytime i gave it gas. figured it was the carb. Replaced the carb and it started right up and shut off after a few seconds. Havent been able to start it since. I have replaced the battery, carb, new spark plug, and starter. What am i missing? what else can i check not sure why its not starting. Thanks |
Silly question, but it's not on the list. Did you change the gas out too?
yea put in new gas
Given it the once over to make sure you didn't knock any wires loose?
i checked that as well yesterday...ill give it another look.
Got the basics, spark, fuel and air?
Just looking at the easy stuff first. |
yup. wires are all good. spark is there. battery is fully charged. Gas flows through filter.....
Check the compression?
how do you check compression?
You'll need a compression tester.(gauge) Can probably rent one from Auto Zone, or buy one for about 20-30 dollars.
You can find a few videos on youtube that will get you going. Another thing to check first, the exhaust. Make sure no critters have made a nest in there. |
