I'm thinking of getting some new wheels for my Warrior. I'm also thinking of some other mods. What are the best set of wheels and tires that I can get for a reasonable amount of money.

Is it a 74 model or did you just swap out that 455 into something else?

I believe his comments relate to the authors name. (Trans Am) Oh and yes your right it doesn't address the question.

Bigdevil, Rudedog, after 234 posts on this forum (since it was changed up, not counting the year before that), I think I should be able to post a short off topic question without a couple of nitpicky goons making a big deal out of it. You guys have like 33 posts between the two of you. Can you not find something else to post on here other than criticism of something that really doesn't concern you? Pontiac's Trans Am had a 455cu engine in 1974 that was the highlight motor for that car in the 70's. It was replaced by the pontiac 400 and then again by a smaller turbocharged engine. I just wondered if he had a 74 Trans Am with that stock engine. If that is something that bothers you, well, then too damn bad.

Andy: Try to get a grip! My post wasn't meant to be negative (nitpicky). If you took it that way I'm sorry. I was "trying" simply to point out that your post didn't address the original post. Number of posts.... frankly, who really gives a Rats azz. As for the muscle car background, that's is right up my alley and I enjoyed the little history schpeal!

ALL RIGHT!!... Poncho feinds!!!... Let me get in here and get bashed too.... I built a 1980 Trans-Am (cheese-ball 301 Turbo was pulled) I built and installed a 4-bolt main 74 Super Duty 455.... Mated to a BUILT Th-350 and 3:73:1 Detroit Locker equipped rear-end..(nine inch Ford housing)
I Just wish there was a way to have kept three hotrods, several quads, two kids, an ex-wife, and a girlfriend ALL at the same time.. Oh... and a dog... (cant forget BOOGER!!!)

Mudmachine, what color is it? I love that model. I prefer the headlight setup on the 77 & 78 (I think they're the same) though. Someday I might get one and fix it up, but I doubt I'll get the matching Trans AM jacket and Burt Reynolds hat though.

As for the tires and wheels on the subject. I don't have a clue. Maybe Maxxis Razrs or ITP Holeshots on Douglas Aluminum. Beadlocks are cool, but also costly. As for a more aggressive woods or mud tire, I don't know much about the smaller sizes.

How in the hell did you get a super duty? Or did you know for sure that it was one. No flame intented.

As for wheels I'm thinking of going with a set of ITP Holeshots or Maxxis Razors on ITP 9x9 for the back and 10x5 for the front. How would this wheel combo work?
