Mudlite XL's

This may be a stupid question, but I'm looking at the 25" mudlites and there are the standard depth 5/8" and the deep lugs. There roughly $40-50 for the XL's. My question pertains to the wear factor of the tires. Since the XL's have so much more tread wouldn't they last a lot longer and hence be worth the extra money? I mean if the tread is twice as deep wouldn't you get twice the mileage out of them. If that's the case I don't know why I would look at the shallow tread.

I believe you are correct in your assumption.
Some people may want a more trail friendly (small lug ) version for the trails.

I would agree in your statement. the xl should in fact last twice as long due to the extra length of the lugs. personally I feel that if someone is looking to get a set of tires such as the Mudlites then they mide as well get the xl's or else what's the point right?

I bought a set of 25" mudlite xl's and ITP seires 5 wheels for my 05 Grizzly. Have about 200 miles on them and I love em'. The are great in the mud holes and even with the extra large tread handle fine on hard pack. I highly recommend them.
