Mud Tires...They Won't Tear Up Your Grass

Anyone know of or has ever owned a mud tire that rides decently smooth and won't shred your lawn up? I'm sick of my MudLites tearing up my grass whenever I have some work to do in the yard. A buddy of mine has a set of Vampires and they are not near as bad as my MudLites. I'd like something different than him though. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

if your quad can pop in and out of 4 wheel drive then pop it in to 2 wheel drive when your working. it will rip less grass up.

It's not really the tire tearing up your lawn, as much as it is your machine. Having a SRA, both your rear tires turn at the same time. The tire on the outside of the turn dictates how fast the tire on the inside of the turn spins...which is what chews up turf. The only way to stop it would be to buy a machine that has a "turf mode", which unlocks the rear diff allowing each wheel to turn independently. Or...you could buy a set of turf treaded tires, which would be completely worthless in mud. Sorry, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Try to think of it as aerating your lawn.

yea it doesnt matter as much which tires u have it matters bout ur turns. if i ride my grizzly in a straight line across the grass it wont leave a mark.... but if i turn then u could see the tears. u have to make wide and slow turns...... but that kinda sux kuz its hard to do yard work that way. good luck.
