on my 05 300ex could i run 22's on the front and 20's on the back? is there too much difference there? i plan on getting some xcr's, and i don't know what size to get, im fairly sure you want larger fronts. is this true?

Why would you want that much difference? Youll have to constantly stand up to see whats coming!

You don't want that big a differance between the front and rears. Here is a quote from Hightower with a really good explanation about the whole tire issue. =]

DS's have less caster angle in the front end geometry than other quads, this makes for a little more sensetive steering that some complain about, however this less caster also allows for a tighter turning radius. the DS is so long and wide that the turning radius is a bit larger than alot of other quads, and this less caster helps to combat that, with a price of handling at higher speeds from the sensetivity.
so anyway, with that being said - if you increase rear tire size without increasing front tire size, you decrease caster even more. but maintaining a larger front tire than the rear will maintain stock caster angle.

the reason i would want to do that is b/c it would be nice to be able to keep my stock fronts (22's) and chage my rears to hole shots(20'S) i don't want 22in holeshots. hard to say what i want too.

Yes you can run that setup without any problems. The nose will be a little tall but it will still handle fine.
