I want to get some Razr's on my 400EX. A couple questions:
1. 4 ply or 6 ply?? Is there much of a difference in weight?? Also, is it worth the extra expense?? And is the extra height of the XC a hinderance?
2. How do they wear; 6 ply vs. 4 ply?
3. ITP or Douglas aluminum?? ITP is a tad cheaper, but cost is not a determiing factor.
4. How are the fronts in the dunes?? Floatation steering etc.
I ride on alot of rocky trails and I've yet to hurt the stock tires so I'm not sure about the 6 ply. I also keep the fronts on at the dunes. Any info and opinions are appreciated, Drew

I have 20/11/9 6 ply razr's on my 300ex.Alot of people say that razr's wear out quick. Not the case with me.I have had them since summer and ran them on my 250r for a while. They still have ALOT of tread.I have them on ITP .190's.The wheels have a good sized dong in them.It is on the bqack side so you really can't tell unless U have them off.THe ITP's seem to be holding upo fine as do the razz's.I love them. They are better mud tires than the stockers, slide better, hook up better and look better they are all around great tires!I can't help U with the fronts though.

I've had 6ply Razrs on the front of my 300ex for 2 years. They have been great! I've never had to add air to them, and they still look near new(tread wise). I think that the 6ply's are about 1 pound heavier(each) than the 4ply tires.
