Default mudlite xl's or swamplites?

I have a 06 2wd rancher es and am in need of new tires and wheels. I am going to get 25x8-12 in the front and 25x10-12 in the back. I like the swamplites alot and hear great things about them but I like how the mudlites come with a deeper tread in the 25". Which do you think would be a better choice. I ride in rocks, mud, trails, and creeks. Thanks for the help.

The swamp lites are going to be a better all around tire. Only the mudlite xl's have the deeper tread in 25" otherwise the regular mud lites have about the same if not less tread as the swamp lites. If you go 26" inthe swamp lites then the tread is alot thicker. What size are your tires stock?

My stocks are 24x8-12 in the front and 25x11-10 in the rear. I like the swamplites better than the mudlites but I just wished they came with the deeper tread. I could go to 26" but I don't want to lose any power.

In the 25" size I would say the ML XL is a better choice. If you go to the 26" then I would take the Swamp lites.

Default mudlite xl's or swamplites?

One thing to consider is the overall heighth. After reading on here alot lately about tires, I've learned that the Mudlites measure smaller than stated (My 25" XL's with a little better than half tread measures 22 1/2" high) where the Swamplites seem to measure to the stated size (even a little larger in some cases). I'm looking into the swamp lites for the heighth reason for the added clearance(also I have had bad luck with my Mudlites). The swamplite I believe are a few (4lbs?) heavier per tire but seem harder to find locally. Alot of internet sites with them though.
Hope this helps
Buck

The swamp lites are alot lighter than the Mud lite xl's. I have had both and have weighed them. I can also tell teh difference on how the quad wheelies and jumps. The swamp lites do measure bigger. My 25" swamp lites sit just as high as my friends 26" pxt's on his poolaris. The 26" swamp lites have much deeper tread than the 25.

Yeah I want the 26' swamplites for the extra tread but I don't know if it is too much tire for my 2wd rancher. What do yall think?

I'd go with the 25" swamplites on your Rancher. A little more mud ability with a little bigger tire. The extra tire size in the front may give you all you need.
