My brother has a raptor with an RC 51 motor in it. He puts snowmobile studs in the front tires when we go out on the ice. They stuck out well past the rubber and it wasn't a problem. The back we had to run chains it was the only thing that didn't get ripped off the tires.

Wondering how it worked out for you I need to do the same to my tires. Did you use any type of pattern for the studs like a snowmobile track pattern would have?
