Default Constant belt tension

I looking for a new utility ATV. I will be using it for hunting, ice fishing and yard work.

My question is, how important is it to have an ATV that has constant belt tension? So far I have found Arctic Cat and Yamaha has this and Polaris does not.

Dealers have told me Polaris ATVs are prone to blowing belts because the belt is only moving when the machine is moving. Is this true? What is the better system?

I am looking at the AC 700 H1 or Griz 700 or Sportsman 800. Leaning towards the Griz.

Thank you

constant tension is the way to go.

to try and reduce belt wear, polarises usually engage at a higher rpms than others, and that can be annoying.

id look at the kq also
