ATV won't shift into gear?
 

hello, I have a Polaris sportsman 335, it was having problems with the reverse. it would die when shifted into reverse (which wasn't a problem for me) but now my ATV wont shift or stay in any gear? please help... do ATV's have transmissions?

Linkage may ned adjusting on this old style shift box. Remove the linkage ends from the shift box,place shifter in neutral,loosen or tighten ball ends to where they drop straight into the shift box levers with no resistance.Then see if it shifts ok. As far as dying in reverse,remove the black wire from the reverse limiter module under the front panel. Item #32 or 37,which ever one has the black wire.You won't have to push the over ride button as you will have full power in reverse.
