Video: Seating a Tire Bead with Fire
It's a pretty common practice to apply some heat to get a stubborn bead to seat but we've got to admit, it's pretty impressive to behold when it all comes together just right:

I had two front tires on my lt80 that refused to seat!
I used ether many times, only result was a warm and flaming tire
Instead of blowing up my house and burning down the forest, after two days of trying with starting fluid, ratchet straps, etc I gave in and took them to Big O
Big O used a bead seater like this one pictured and had them both done in 2 minutes.
I am now building a bead seater from an old air bomb, 2" check ball and some tubing.
I don't think starting fluid is what is used to be! They have dumbed it down
Also one bead must be near seated for skinney atv tires to pop onto the top bead, otherwise you will just get flash fires

They sell cannon fuse at a lot of fireworks stores. If there are any around you that would be the first place to look. One time I used it to link several fireworks together with a delay between them. The people selling it may know what the burning rate is. Maybe something like 30 seconds per foot.
