Need to upgrade axles for lift?

I have a 2006 sportsman, and I am looming at lift kits.
I am looking at this highlifter kit. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F161931598805
Ready to pull the trigger on it, until I started reading some reviews that says you need to get different axles for the rear, due to the independent suspension. Is this true?

It's better if you had Gorilla,Epi,etc drive shafts that were stronger, but we've had them break also. We installed plenty of lift kits including Highlifter, but this was the part I hated doing the worst:"NOTE: Be sure to always check CV boot clearance at strut housing during installation as you may have to grind the aluminum strut housing to create sufficient clearance for CV boots (even if you're running stock CV axles)." Usually there wasn't any "may have to" to it as we had to grind down all the bottoms of the strut housings for clearance. I know they look sharp with lift kits, but expect parts to wear a lot quicker. Here's list of some of the major brands that you might consider.https://dirtwheelsmag.com/home-page/...les-cv-joints/

I guess that makes up my mind on that. I really don't think k should put anything on that I have to grind other parts to make it fit.
I have enough issues with the lift on my truck. I think I'll just leave the four wheeler alone.
Guess I'll use that money for exhaust.

If that lift kit was designed and built right you wouldn't have to grind anything down to make it fit. An aftermarket pipe won't do much by itself except to make it louder. If that's what you meant by exhaust I would save that money to buy something I need, like more gas.

Yep, just for some sound.
That paired with my UNI filter, should give it a little bit of a throaty sound.
