I just got PEP triple rate limited mass with cans for the front on my 400EX. My problem is (or so it seems) the shocks make noise. It is not the cross overs, this noise sounds like a clunking or binding noise. I can pick the front tires off the ground and I hear a clunk, as well as pushing down on the bumper to compress the suspension and the same thing occurs. More of a clicking sound happens when pushing on the bumper though. I have checked my ball joints and they seem fine, no play or slop in them at all. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Check your shock mount bolts, they are probably too small for the bushings on the shock, the bushings slap the bolts when the shocks rebounds.

Thank you for the reply, however I used the bolts that Baldwin told me to use(stock). Also they were pretty tight, had to have it perfectly in line to get the bolt to go through. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
CP
