TCS Shocks

1st. TCS is starting its 2nd year of makeing their sag controll shock....PEP has been around for years now and has yet to use all their knowlege to come up with their own damping system . 2nd. Also Pep shocks use a slightly modified version of a works dampaning system. Thats way they have their extremly stiff springs.
The TCS uses a Shim Stack which is simaler to a Axis and is why they both or only dual rate shock.
3rd. Have you actually riden both shocks? I've riden on pep standard race, pep limited mass, and pep zps. Their all great shocks, but because of their less sofisticated dampaning system they have to have the Extreamly stiff springs. Its not because pros ride so fast they need the stiff springs. Its because of the ball and spring piston they use in the shock. TCS and Axis both have a much more plush ride and have every bit of big jump and bump ablity of the PEPS. By using a shim stack in their pistons TCS and AXIS shocks can dampen all the jumps and bumps without the help of the springs unlike the PEPS and Works. PEPS say they ZPS shocks are ZERO PRELOAD. IF so then why are they triple rates? Zero Preload means the shocks dampens the jumps and bumps without the help of the spring. IF their true zps shocks then they should have one primary spring to suppport the the riders weight on the quad and a crush spring the set rid height. 4th. Big jumps and speed huh...well why don't you come down to our local track here in alabama. Its extreamly fast and lets see...several of us hit the 85' triple and the 90' double and with my TCS its like sitting on a couch. Oh and PEP put their Knowlege into Modifying an already good shock (works). TCS used their knowledge and a work shocks body and invented a total new damping system!

Mr_400EX: Thank you for the very informative post... We can only hope that MXracer does his homework before he goes and trashes a product. At least we have tried the TCS, PEP, etc...... thats more than I can say for MXracer.
thanx again Mr_400ex

You can buy them from a couple of places..CT Nac's K&K..I got mine from CT it took about a week to get them. I wanted to get PEP's also, but a 4 month waiting period turned me away. I emailed Allen Knowles at CT racing and asked him if there was a big difference between the PEP and the TCS......He told me the TCS were about the same as the ZPS except for the race front price.
I like my TCS they work great...havent jumped them 90 feet yet, but I have been over 60....its hard jumping with a beat up stocker....I sent my stock rear to PEP to get it revalved and add a rezzy...havent got it back to test it out

My shocks just came in today. I can hardly wait to ride with them. I will be going to Competition Park in southern California on Saturday. I will let you all know what I think about them.

WOW, After riding with these shocks, my quad feels like a totally different bike. I can jump better and turn better. I was able to double through whoops that I had been rolling up until now. Jumps that used to bottom out my suspension on the landings are no problem now. At Competition Park, there is a section of the track that has three small double jumps in a row. At one point I over shot the second double and landed/slammed straight into the face of the third take off. I thought I was history, but the front end took the edge off of the impact, don't get me wrong, going fourth gear straight into the face of a jump still was ugly, but it was not nearly as bad as it would have been with the stock set up. Now that I have the suspension for the big jumps, I have to work up the courage to do them.
