Default Winter Ride at Saint Anthony's

I have never been to Saint Anthony's and i plan on going this december. I live in Olympia and it is going to take 12 -14 hours to get there. I know it is suppose to be great there but how is it in the winter time?

Unless the weather was real freaky, there's no way I'd risk driving 12-14 hours to ride in potentially VERY cold temps. I've only been to Idaho (1) time in the winter and that was in December... brrrrrr...

I would head south instead...Oregon coast, Pismo or if you really are up for the drive Glamis.

You might consider delta Utah. It would be a longer drive, but 10-20 degrees warmer. Idaho in the winter... makes utah seem toasty.

No it is frozen snow and the big dunes are off limits by order of the BLM. Zero degrees is a littel to cold for me, but whatever blows your hair back.... Have at it..

Yep, if you have to go that direction then Utah is a BETTER bet but I still wouldn;t frive that far and risk getting froze. Don't go to St. A because if nothing else, like Sandgod said, the big dunes are off limits during that time. Oregon or Cali would be a safer bet.
