V-paddles?
 

I am looking at getting ITP sand stars for my predator and wanted your opinion on them before I spend the $$$ on them. How well do the V-paddles work for you in the dunes? I dont hill climb much and already have straight blade paddles. I'v also heard sand stars (or V-paddles) throw a pretty big roost as well, or am I being told bull@#*$?

I heard some of the same things about the sand stars. I know they hook up fairly well in drag racing to be a v-paddle. I think they are about one of the best v-paddles that there is...IMO[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I'd have to agree that they are the best MOLDED v-paddle availible. We've run them on banshees, warriors and raptors and been very pleased with the performance. The skat trak edge is still a better choice for the V-paddle IMO but costs considerably more.

I have them for my preddy and i love them. Thy throw up some good roost, get good traction, pretty good for sliding (but its a paddle you cant get that good), not too heavy, good price, just an all around great paddle.

Thanks for the feedback. So far haven't heard anything bad in magazines or reviews on the sand stars. The Sand devils I have right now are pretty good but want something with more bite.

My dad has the sand stars and on the middle of the V they are ripping. We havnt abused them at all but they are ripping so... Maybe it was a defective pair. But I also heard of one other guy who had the same problem. Just my input

I have sandstars on my Z and Raptor. All the research I did shows they are one of the lightest molded V-blades. I think there was only one that was lighter but was much more expensive (might have been the sandshark?). Dirtwheels had specs on a bunch of sand tires about a year ago.

My friends ripped down the middle of paddle too. I have some to, but he has had his longer. The guy at the shop said to run 35 pounds of pressure in them before you run them to stretch them out.
I had sand shark II's before and liked them much better than the Sand Stars. The Sand Stars seem to rob to much horse power. They hook up alot but probably too much.

they throw a hell of a roost i can tell you that though. I ride behind my dad in the dunes and its like he's trying to feed me sand or something.

my friend has a pair on his shee,and loves them. i have sandskate 2 on mine . i like them alot. ask other people if you can swap and ride with there's so you can see what you like.
